Welcome Landels Families!

I hope that your summer was filled with fun and laughter, and that you are ready for a great school year! The teachers and I are looking forward to continuing our relentless commitment to the success of every Landels student! Your willingness to actively participate in all school/PTA activities and volunteer in our classrooms has been so important to Landels academic success!   Landels will be starting the school year with 523 enrolled students!

Landels goal last year was to improve student achievement in math and language arts. I am excited and honored to report that Landels state test scores improved in all grade levels in both math and language arts! We will carry on the use of continuous improvement tools to further refine our school plan goals, encouraging our students to be accountable for their own learning.

There are 3 ways you find out what is happening here at Landels:

•  Landels first Wednesday Word will be September 3rd and every Wednesday during the school year. Please read the Wednesday Word.   It is an essential way to be kept informed of the events here at Landels.

•  Please also visit the Landels website at www.landels.mvwsd.org .

•  We will start each week with a weekly morning assembly, updating everyone on the week's events.              

I look forward to meeting each and every one of you! And I am so grateful for the warm welcome that I                 have already received from some of you!
