Our PTA
The Landels School PTA plays an essential role in ensuring that each of our students has access to an excellent education. Through its focus on academic achievement, a strong sense of community, parent involvement, and parent education, the PTA is the cornerstone of an inclusive community where every member is appreciated and valued. Through financial support for classroom materials, field trips, assemblies, and arts programming, the PTA enriches our school and enables our students to meet their academic potential. We encourage all members of the Landels community to join the PTA.
PTA OFFICERS FOR 2011-2012 SCHOOL YEAR
Looking for a few good volunteers…the Landels PTA needs YOU! We are trying to identify a slate of officers to run next year’s PTA. If you are interested—or know of others who might be—please contact Natasha Keck (natasha.keck@gmail.com or 650-969-7606). Serving on the PTA Board is a wonderful way to get plugged in to our terrific Landels community…where else can you meet other involved families, have fun and do good things to support our kids, teachers and staff at the same time!? We are still in search of volunteers to fill these roles for the 2011-2012 school year:
Historian—assembles and preserves a records of the activities, achievements and volunteer hours; acts as custodian of records pertinent to the history of the association
In addition to filling the slate of officers for our upcoming election, we are also trying to get people thinking about taking on a committee chair or major project role. These include Book Fair, Walkathon, Box Tops, eScrip, Ice Cream Social, Magnet Art, Math/Science Night, Membership, Pizza/Restaurant Night, We also welcome your ideas for other events and programs—and would love to have you take charge! It’s a team effort to keep Landels running smoothly—we need you! Everyone is welcome! Please consider taking on one of these roles next year.
