Landels News

Dear Landels Families,

This week, we honor and appreciate our exceptional teachers and staff who contribute to the incredible learning and growth at Landels. Each member of our Landels team dedicates themselves to creating a safe and nurturing environment for students. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone for the kind words and gestures of appreciation this week - they have made us feel very appreciated!

Next week, we’d like to recognize our volunteers at our Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast on Wednesday, May 17th from 7:30-8:15am in the MUR. All volunteers are invited!

We only have 17 days left in the school year and lots of great events to look forward to! We’re excited to bring Wildmind to Landels this Friday to present Animals of the Rainforest. On Friday, 5/19, students in grades 1-5 will participate in field day and 3rd-5th graders will have their CAASPP celebration on the same day. Here are some additional events to look forward to:

Science Night on 5/16 @ 5:30pm

Please remember to sign up for Science Night by completing this survey. We will have a taco truck selling food starting at 5pm. Each family will receive 1 science kit from Little Passports. Hope to see you there!

5th Grade Music Concerts on 5/18 @ 11:10am

Our students are excited to perform for you! Community School of Music and Art (CSMA) and our 5th graders will hold their end-of-year concert in order to showcase all that they have learned this year. Plan ahead! In order to view these performances, visitors will need to sign in at the office with their picture IDs.

School Site Council

Please consider volunteering on Landels’ School Site Council. It’s a great way to support your school and provide input on goals and action items! Complete the Self-Nomination Google Form if you are interested. More information about SSC can be found here

Volunteer Reminders

We greatly appreciate and value the assistance of volunteers, as they play a crucial role in supporting our school community. We kindly request that volunteers refrain from bringing their own children or siblings of students with them while volunteering on campus. To ensure a focused and safe learning environment, siblings of students should not be present during school hours and are not permitted to join field trips. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Thank you!

Pieter Dolmans

Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast for our Volunteers

Each year we ask for volunteers to support the many programs and special events in our school. And at the end of the year we are amazed at the number of volunteers and the number of hours Landels parents contribute to making things happen!!

If you have any questions, or believe you should have received an invitation but didn't, please contact your child's school or Leticia Corcoran at [email protected] or (650) 526-3500 x1121.
