Landels News

Hello Landels Families,

February is Black History Month. At Landels, 3rd-5th grade students have been learning about Black History Month and its significance. Now, some of the upper grade groups are researching Black individuals who have played an important role in our US history, both past and present. Their work will be showcased so our K-2 students can also learn about influential Black individuals.

I encourage you all to start discussions with your children at home as well. You can start by asking the following questions. Why is there a Black History Month? How can we celebrate Black history all year? Why is it important to celebrate Black history all year long?

Here are some resources from PBS that may be helpful. I appreciate your partnership and support in making our community inclusive.

Thank you!

Pieter Dolmans

Dogs on Campus

Just a friendly reminder that dogs are not permitted on campus during drop-off, pick-up, or during the school day.  This is to ensure the safety and emotional well-being of our students and community.  Thank you for your understanding.
