Walk and Roll to School

Yes, there are prizes to win! The group leaders of the day will have punch cards with a clip for all the children that join the walk & bike trains, and the drop-a-block groups. The tenth time you Walk or Roll to school you’ll receive a prize and you’re name will be put into a once a year raffle to win a major prize! The more punch cards you fill up, the more chance you have at winning a prize in the raffle. Punches will only be given on Friday (even though we still highly encourage everybody to still Walk & Roll on all the other days of the week).

Safety vests?

They’re orange have two fluorescents stripes on them and have the Walk & Roll logo printed on the back. They’re adult size vests, but fit perfectly on children who are wearing a back-pack. They’re recommended for everyone who walks, but highly recommended for bikers (of any age).

Unsure about the best way to get to school?

To help you get to school, please visit this interactive map (also in picture format below) with suggested routes. The routes were developed by City of Mountain View's Vehicle Emissions Reduction at School (VERBS) Program. If you prefer a route that is not listed, we would like to hear from you! Please email walkandroll@landelspta.org. We will only have walking or biking buses when specifically mentioned for an event.
